The first perceptible sign of aging start around 25 years with the presence of fine lines and wrinkles. These fine lines are recognized more easily because they appear in different facial areas.
Wrinkles: Signs of skin aging
As we said previously, the first signs of aging to appear are the fine lines. These small and slightly deep wrinkles tend to be perceived in the external angles of the eyes. They are also known as lines of the laugh or crow’s feet.
The thin lines can also locate in the cheeks, and in the forehead, the wrinkles are perceived as horizontal lines. Wrinkles can be unleashed by the expression and tend to be deeper with the course of the time. The vertical lines, of less size, between the eyebrows are caused by the gathering of the same ones.
The deepest wrinkles locate between the nose and the mouth are called nasolabial folds. They relate to the sagging of the skin and often associate with a loss of volume.
Loss of Volume
One of the signs of the loss of volume is the loosening of face skin, which gives rise to areas of skin laxity.
Sometimes difficult to identify, the loss of volume is also known as: skin sagging, loss of the contour, neck of turkey, goose bumps or “contracted appearance”.
In contrast to loss of density or wrinkles, changes the overall look of the face in a transformative way but difficult to identify with precision.
What is most evident is that the decrease in the volume and facial contour lax is often associated with loss of volume. This combination can confer on the face a negative aspect, sad or fatigued look. Consequently, this turn to incorrect perceptions of the state of humor or to the image of a person.
Loss of density
When we spoil the cutaneous structure, a loss of density on the skin become more evident. This situation appears often along with a skin of more subdued aspect, which can result in a thinner appearance.
The loss of density manifests itself on the surface, in the form of thin and weak skin. This appreciation is more common in women of postmenopausal age.
Unlike the wrinkles or loss of volume, the loss of density affects the entire face rather than settle in certain areas. It often associates with deeper wrinkles and appears along with a decrease of the luminosity and a tendency to a more subdued skin.
